Golden State Warriors vs Memphis Grizzlies betting tips and predictions for Monday’s NBA Western Conference Playoff game on TNT. The Memphis Grizzlies are expected to be without Ja Morant as they battle the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of their series. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State WarriorsDespite winning by 30 points in Game 3, all the talk after the game was the supposed knee injury to Ja Morant which was caused by Jordan Poole reaching in and grabbing his knee. The Warriors completely outplayed Memphis in that game connecting on 63% of their shots from the field and going 17-for-32 from three. It was their best performance offensively so far this postseason and the timing couldn’t be better.

Usually when a game like that happens, the team cools off a bit in the next one so I’m interested to see how it carries over tonight. It was Golden State’s 14th win in the last 19 home games against Memphis, they are also on 6-game home win streak. Tonight they enter the game as 10.5 point favourites, which sounds a lot on paper, but then again they won the last game by 30 and Memphis had Morant.

Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis GrizzliesThe narrative coming into tonight’s game is that Memphis doesn’t really stand a chance without Morant. I find that hard to believe because during the regular season they went 20-5 in the 25 games Morant didn’t play, so I wouldn’t rule them out just like that. This team has shown a lot of grit all year and yeah, they are playing a more experienced team here, but if there’s one thing we learned in these playoffs so far it’s that doesn’t always go as planned in the NBA.

Memphis is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs Pacific Division opponents, they’ve also won 12 of their last 18 vs Western Conference teams and in head-to-head meetings against the Warriors they’ve covered in 4 of the last 5 meetings. Dillon Brooks should return to the line-up following a one game suspension, he should be a big boost for them on both ends.

No matter how good the Warriors were in Game 3, I find it hard to believe they can string together back-to-back performances shooting over 60% from the field. Memphis will have to rely on their defence here if Morant doesn’t play, they won 20 of 25 games without him in the line-up. So don’t expect them to come to tonight’s game waiving the white flag. Let’s back the road team to cover here.

Golden State Warriors vs Memphis Grizzlies Predictions

Despite the two teams combining to score 254 points in Game 3, the projected total has gone down by 2 points ahead of tonight’s game. Morant not playing could be a reason for that, but as we saw during the regular season the Grizzlies haven’t been all that affected by his absence. The team averaged 117.8 points per game in the 25 outings without him and one of those games was against the Warriors back in late March when they scored 123 points in a 28 point win.

The total has gone over in 2 of the 3 games in this series, for the Warriors that’s been the case in 7 of their last 9 overall. In games vs Western Conference opponents, Golden State is 8-3 on the O/U in their last 11, plus they currently lead the playoffs in points per game averaging 118.8. Memphis is 2nd in that category averaging 113.6 per game, so judging by that there won’t be much defence played in tonight’s game. Let’s back the points again in this one.
