Golden State Warriors vs Denver Nuggets betting tips and predictions for Wednesday’s NBA Western Conference Playoff game on TNT. The Golden State Warriors have another opportunity to close out their 1st Round series as they host the Denver Nuggets tonight at Chase Center. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State WarriorsDespite getting 33 points from Stephen Curry off the bench and 32 from Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors were unable to close the deal on the road in Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets as they fell by 5 points. They held a 3-point lead with a minute left in the game, but the Nuggets showed why they have an MVP on their roster and they were able to avoid getting swept.

With the series now shifting to San Francisco for Game 5, the Warriors will look to end it all tonight. After just 11 points on 3-for-10 shooting in the previous game, Jordan Poole is likely getting benched in favor of Stephen Curry here. Let’s be real, it was only a matter of time until Steve Kerr inserted his 2-time MVP into the line-up again. Warriors are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games vs Denver.

Denver Nuggets

Denver NuggetsNikola Jokic got poked in the eye very early in Game 4, but it didn’t seem to bother him too much as he went off once again finishing with 37 points on 14-for-21 shooting from the field. It took the Nuggets to shoot 56% from the field in order to have a chance at winning, that just shows how elite of an offensive team they are playing here. Denver’s approach has to change though, if their defence continues leaking points as it has so far in this series, their season is ending tonight.

They are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games vs Pacific Division teams and against the Warriors they’ve covered just once in 5 meetings. In Game 4 they had a 17-point lead but allowed Golden State to come back and make it a close game. Playing on the road, that simply cannot happen if the Nuggets want to force a Game 6 here.

The last 2 games were decided by just 5 points each, the oddsmakers have the Warriors favoured by 9 points here, I think that is a bit too much for an elimination game. Expect both teams to play hard and the Nuggets to not go away without a fight here. Back the road team to cover.

Golden State Warriors vs Denver Nuggets Predictions & Odds

All 4 games in this series have seen more than 226 points scored which is tonight’s projected total. The last 10 meetings have averaged 225.6 points, while 6 of them went over the total. Denver’s defence hasn’t been confidence inspiring at all in these playoffs, the Warriors are just having their way both on the inside and from the perimeter. With Curry coming back into the line-up you have to think that’ll be a positive for the Warriors as he’s come off the bench in the previous 4 games of this series.

The total has gone over for both teams in 5 games in a row, while for the Warriors this has also happened in 6 of 7 vs Western Conference teams. For the Nuggets their last 6 of 7 games on the road have all gone over, I don’t see much hope for a change in tonight’s game. They do play at one of the slowest paces in the NBA, but the defence is just so bad that more often than not they have to rely on outscoring their opponents in order to win games. I expect that to be their approach in tonight’s game, it worked in Game 4 so why not stick with it? Let’s back the points in this one.
