Andrew Brunette’s team went on a four-game road trip a week ago and came back totally beaten up. Florida got goals from Jonathan Huberdeau and Eetu Luostarinen, and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 21 shots.

The game against the Islanders is the first of a four-game homestand which the Panthers will use to get back on winning track. They started the season with two losses, then won 5 of 7, and currently are on a three-game losing streak.
They lost the last three games with a total score of 13-3.
Last night the Islanders failed 4-1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning after scoring first in less than three minutes into the game.
The teams met for the first time since Tampa Bay beat the Islanders 1-0 in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup semifinals last June.
