The Panthers ended their four-game winning streak against one of the biggest rivals in the East. Seattle Kraken Stats & Form
The Seattle Kraken recently has shown that they are building up a solid team after back-to-back wins against two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference snapping a six-game losing streak. After a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals on Sunday the Kraken defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1 on Tuesday but lost 3-0 last night to the reigning champions the Tampa Bay Lightning.
A goal just 2:52 into the game by depth forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare ended up being the only goal that the Lightning needed. Goals by Ross Colton and Steven Stamkos, just added salt into the wound for a game that the Kraken were not prepared for.
The Kraken did not get more than seven shots on net in any of the three periods. They ended with seven in each of the first and second periods, and just three shots in the third. Seattle is still at the bottom of the Pacific Division and one spot above it in the Western Conference with a 6-13-1 record and only the Arizona Coyotes beneath them.
