Florida Panthers Stats & Form
The Florida Panthers have dropped from the top spot in the Eastern Conference after last night’s 4-3 loss to the Washington Capitals and now are at a 14-3-3 record. The Panthers ended their four-game winning streak against one of the biggest rivals in the East. They simply couldn’t hold Alex Ovechkin who scored two of his three goals over 56 seconds in the second period.
Another blow for Florida’s interim coach Andrew Brunette is Sergei Bobrovsky who left the game due to concussion protocol. Jonathan Huberdeau, Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe scored for the Panthers.
Florida had the best start in their history, winning 10 of the first eleven games showing that they are considered the top candidates to win the Stanley Cup for a reason.

Seattle Kraken Stats & Form
The Seattle Kraken recently has shown that they are building up a solid team after back-to-back wins against two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference snapping a six-game losing streak. After a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals on Sunday the Kraken defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1 on Tuesday but lost 3-0 last night to the reigning champions the Tampa Bay Lightning.
A goal just 2:52 into the game by depth forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare ended up being the only goal that the Lightning needed. Goals by Ross Colton and Steven Stamkos, just added salt into the wound for a game that the Kraken were not prepared for.
The Kraken did not get more than seven shots on net in any of the three periods. They ended with seven in each of the first and second periods, and just three shots in the third. Seattle is still at the bottom of the Pacific Division and one spot above it in the Western Conference with a 6-13-1 record and only the Arizona Coyotes beneath them.
