Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns | Tip & Odds (24.3.2022)

Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns betting tips and predictions for Thursday’s NBA game on NBA TV. The Phoenix Suns are looking to win their 60th win of the regular season as they take on the Denver Nuggets in what will be the 3rd and final meeting between the two teams this regular season. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Denver Nuggets

Denver NuggetsThe Nuggets got a much needed win over the LA Clippers in their last game as they won 127-115 on their home court, covering the 6.5 point spread. It was a big win for Denver who is trying to stay 6th in the Western Conference standings and make the playoffs automatically, instead of doing it through the play-in tournament with a lower seed.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are still lurking behind though, so every win is important going forward. It promises to be a tough game against the Suns, they’ve covered just once in their last 5 home games against them, however, Nuggets fans will be optimistic as they’ve now won 5 of their last 6 games vs Western Conference opponents. They are also 8-1 SU in the last 9 games vs Pacific Division opponents.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix SunsPhoenix actually helped Denver a bit by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves last night 125-116 on the road, behind a career-high night from Deandre Ayton who had 35 points and 14 rebounds. Devin Booker also contributed with 28 points, it was a total team effort as the Suns finished the game by shooting 52.3% from the floor to sweep the season series from Minnesota 3-0.

Their season series vs Denver is locked at 1-1, so whoever wins tonight takes that home as well. The Suns are pretty much locked into the number 1 seed out West, but rest assured this team takes no nights off even with that in mind. They are 29-6 SU on the road this season, currently on a 6-game win streak away from home as well. They’ve won 5 of the last 6 meetings with Denver, so confidence will be high ahead of tonight’s game.

Phoenix played last night, while Denver rested so that’s a small edge to the Nuggets here. However, I still think the Suns are in a solid spot going into tonight’s game. They’ve covered in 22 of 35 road games, I’m backing them to do so here as well.

Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns Predictions & Odds

In the previous meeting against the Nuggets, Phoenix put up 126 points while giving up 97 on their end. Although that might sound like a lot of points, tonight’s projected total has been set at 231 points, neither of the two meetings so far this season came even close to that number. If we look at the last 10 meetings they’ve averaged 226.2 points per game and the over has cashed 6 times during that stretch.

The Nuggets defence hasn’t been confidence inspiring lately, over their last 3 games they are giving up an average 119.3 points per game which is the 6th highest mark in the NBA. Phoenix isn’t far behind giving up 114 per game, without their floor general CP3 they have slipped a bit, but thankfully they have enough to respond with on offence.

The Suns rank 8th in pace of play averaging 101.8 possessions per game, I think there could be some tired legs on defence tonight after their game at Minnesota last night. Let’s go with the over here.
