Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns betting tips and predictions for Monday’s NBA Playoffs game on TNT. The Nuggets hope to go up 2-0 in their series against the Phoenix Suns as the two teams collide once again at Ball Arena. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Denver Nuggets

Denver NuggetsWe saw pure dominance by the Nuggets in Game 1 as they came out firing right from the get go. Jamal Murray shined with 34 points, while Nikola Jokic dominated Deandre Ayton with 24 points and 19 rebounds. The dynamic duo also got a ton of help from Aaron Gordon who dropped an efficient 23 points, which was a playoff high this season for him.

It was the 6th Denver victory in their last 7 games played, plus their 6th win in a row at home. Game 2 could be a pivotal one in the series, they have an opportunity to go up 2-0, but also if they lose then home court advantage switched to Phoenix. Holding the Suns to just 7 threes in the series opener did the trick, let’s see how Denver reacts to all the adjustments the Suns make for tonight’s game.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix SunsKevin Durant and Devin Booker were the two only bright spots for the Suns in Game 1 with 29 and 27 points, while the rest of the team just couldn’t step up to the challenge. The bench was a massive disappointment as no player scored in double-figures, that will have to change moving forward if Phoenix wants to get to the conference finals.

As a team they shot fairly decent from the field at 51.2%, however from three they were just 7-for-23 on the night. Turnovers were also a factor, Durant finished with 7 of them which is just too much for a Western Conference semi final game. Despite the loss though, Phoenix still has a positive record in head-to-head meetings with the Nuggets having won 8 of the last 12 games.

There was very little drama in Game 1 as the Nuggets pulled away in the 2nd quarter and never looked back. I’m thinking Game 2 will be a lot closer, Phoenix cannot put together back-to-back poor performances with so much talent on their team. I’ll take the Suns to cover here.

Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns Predictions & Odds

The style of play Phoenix nurtured in their series against the Clippers looks to be the one they are sticking with for this series as well. That has resulted in the Nuggets attempting 101 field goals on Saturday, when you do that it’s a lot easier to score 125 points. Phoenix is currently 25-18-1 on the O/U in road games this season, that bet has landed 4 times in their last 5 outings, including 10 times in their last 12 on the road.

Head-to-head averages are also pointing to another high scoring game, the last 10 meetings have averaged 229.7 points per game with the over cashing 6 times. Without a three-point shot in Game 1 the Suns still managed 107 points, if they can fix that in Game 2 they can very well go into the 120s. I’ll be backing the points in this one.
