A big part of the win was the play of Nikola Jokic who finished with a Wilt Chamberlain like stat line of 40 points, 27 rebounds and 10 assists. These type of performances and the Nuggets being a 3rd seed in the West might just give Jokic his 3rd MVP, but there is still a long way to go in this regular season.
Denver has a tough task at home tonight against the Grizzlies, a team they’ve beaten 7 times in the last 8 games at Ball Arena. Only 3 of their 12 home games have ended in a defeat for the Nuggets this season, they’ll be eager to take the court against tonight’s opponent.

The Grizzlies suffered an unexpected loss at Oklahoma City the other night which ended a 7-game win streak that got them into 1st place in the West. That’s really impressive when you consider the fact that their 2nd best player Desmond Bane has been out for a while now with a toe injury, and it’s unknown when he will come back.
Ja Morant is making a strong case for MVP honors leading the Grizz with 26.7 points and 7.7 assists per game, but more impressive than his stat line is his play, he is one of the most acrobatic finishers in today’s NBA. He will need to display all of that tonight, Memphis has just 4 wins in 12 meetings with the Nuggets. They do like to cover the spread against them though, over the last 8 games they are 6-2 ATS.
It promises to be a tight game, but for some reason the Nuggets are the underdogs here despite a dominant head-to-head record. After that performance against Charlotte, I think they’ll be eager to show they can do it against the big teams as well. Take the home team and the extra points here.
