Denver Nuggets vs Golden State Warriors betting tips and predictions for Thursday’s NBA game at Ball Arena. A couple of Western Conference heavyweights collide in Denver tonight as the Nuggets entertain the reigning champions Warriors. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Denver Nuggets

Denver NuggetsDenver actually won the first meeting of the season 128-123 in a game that was played in late October. It was only the 2nd game of the season for both sides and a lot has happened since. The Nuggets sit in first place in the standings, they’ve won 17 of 18 games at home and just beat the New Orleans Pelicans 122-113 on Tuesday. Jamal Murray led the scoring with 32 points, while Nikola Jokic added 26 points, 18 rebounds and 15 assist.

The 2-time MVP is now averaging a triple-double for the season which is just remarkable. If he continues playing like this, the voters will have a hard time finding reasons not to vote for him to win his 3rd consecutive award. Beat a team like the Warriors would certainly add to his case, Denver has gone 6-1 SU in their last 7 games vs Pacific Division teams.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State WarriorsDespite 5 wins in the last 7 meetings, the Warriors remain underdogs here as they enter tonight’s game as 9.5 dogs. That’s a huge number, but not surprising considering they have just 7 wins in 26 road games this season. It was another disappointing loss last night at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-114.

Stephen Curry led the scoring with 29 points, this being a 2nd night of a back-to-back there’s a really good chance head coach Steve Kerr might decide to rest everyone. If that happens, Golden State fans won’t have much to hope for in this one. In the last 18 meetings, the Warriors have been able to cover the spread 12 times, but I’m not sure how much weight we can put into that stat if neither of their starters plays here.

The dominance of Denver has been impressive, especially in home games. They just ran over a solid Pelicans squad, I’m expecting more of the same tonight vs the shorthanded Warriors. Take Jokic and co. to cover the large spread.

Denver Nuggets vs Golden State Warriors Predictions & Odds

Normally when the Warriors play without Steph, Klay, Draymond and Wiggins, they let their foot off the pedal defensively. In their 26 road games played they’ve gone over the total in 19 of them, that trend is likely to continue tonight against a Nuggets team that’s gone over the total in 6 of 9 games played on a Thursday.

These teams are averaging 226.9 points per game in their last 10 games played, and although that might not sound like a lot the total has still gone 7-3 on the O/U in those 10 games played. Denver doesn’t have any significant injuries to report, they just dropped 119 and 122 points in their last 2 games. Denver has the most efficient offense in the NBA, while the Warriors play the fastest pace. Combine those two things and you have yourself a huge total. Go with the over.
