This team is no back in the playoff contention in the West, right now they are 9th and occupy one of the play-in tournament spots. It will be a tough task considering they’ve dropped 10 in a row against their division rivals, but all streaks have to come to an end at some point.

Speaking of streaks, the Nuggets have won 2 games in a row and 3 of their last 4. They are coming off a 113-107 home win over the Washington Wizards in which Nikola Jokic once again stole the headlines. The Serbian big man had 28 points, rebounds and 9 assists before getting tossed in mid-way through the 4th quarter, but luckily his team was able to hang on and get the important home win. After that game they are now 8-4 at Ball Arena, it’s also worth pointing out that they’ve beaten the Timberwolves in 6 straight at home. However, their recent form against Western Conference teams could be a concern as they’ve gone just 3-7 ATS in 10 such games. Will Barton could return to the line-up after recovering from an illness.
The 1st meeting of the season was a tough win for Denver and this team is as injured as they’ve been when the 2 teams met back in late October. Minnesota needs to get on a run to improve their position in the West standings, I think them getting back Russell is huge and I believe they could surprise the Nuggets here.
