Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee BucksMilwaukee is finally hitting it’s stride with 5 wins in a row. The teams they’ve beaten don’t look that good on paper right now, but that won’t discourage the Bucks fans as their team is finally healthy and ready to go on a big run. One of their big 3 members struggled in the 114-93 win over Detroit, but the other 2 got much needed help from one of the fans’ favorites. Bobby Portis stepped up with 28 points to make up for Middleton scoring only 11 on the night. Giannis Antetokounmpo had his standard 33 points, while Jrue Holiday added 22 and 8 rebounds. Tonight’s game is a perfect opportunity to improve on one record that’s been bothering them this season. Against Western Conference teams the Bucks have failed to cover the spread in their last 5 games.

Denver Nuggets

Denver NuggetsSpeaking of things that have bothered teams, the Denver Nuggets have major issues when it comes to injuries. They are currently on a 5-game losing streak and could yet again be without their MVP Nikola Jokic who has been listed as questionable with a wrist injury. The big man hasn’t played in their last 3 games, they those games by 6, 29 and 19 points. One guy they won’t be able to count on this season is Michael Porter Jr. who has been ruled out indefinitely with a back injury, joining Jamal Murray who hasn’t played a single game this season. Nuggets are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games, however they do have one stat that should give them hope tonight and that is their home record. They are 6-2 SU in their last 8 at Ball Arena and against the Bucks they are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings.

Milwaukee also has a couple of important players out right now, but they’ve been able to overcome those during their 5 game win streak. It all comes down to Jokic playing in this one, if he’s unable to go it’s a wrap for the Nuggets. Even if he does play, the Nuggets have been out of funk for a while now, so I’m leaning towards the team that’s one a 5-game win streak here. Give me the Bucks to cover.

Denver Nuggets – Milwaukee Bucks Predictions

Bucks -3.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

The Nuggets went from the best defensive numbers in the league to the worst in their last 5 games. And it’s all because their MVP isn’t available right now. Only the Memphis Grizzlies have allowed more points over their last 3 games, the Nuggets opponents have dropped 119 per game against them during that stretch. The Bucks are 5th in the NBA in scoring over their last 3 games with an average of 118 points per, so it will be a challenge for the Nuggets to keep the Bucks offense in line here. The last 6 of 10 games between the two sides have all finished over the total and in the last 3 meetings they’ve averaged 222 points between them. Denver has issues scoring without Jokic, but they won’t be able to contain the bucks in this one and Milwaukee will score enough to push us over the total.
