After a pair of disappointing defeats against the Hornets and Pelicans, the Washington Wizards finally bounced back with a 101-99 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Although they failed to cover the -7.5 Spread, Wizards fans will be happy with the win as it’s only their 2nd triumph in 6 games. Bradley Beal and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope both had 20 to lead the way as Washington once again turned to their defense to get the win. They held the Thunder to just 40% shooting from the field for what was their 5th road win of the season in 10 games played so far. They’ve done well against the Mavs when it comes to covering the spread, doing so in 4 of the last 5 games. However, the road form is still a worry as the Wizards are just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 away from home.
Dallas Mavericks
When it comes to covering, the Dallas Mavericks have been a joy to bet on these last couple of weeks. Dallas has gone 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games and that was with Luka Doncic missing several games with a knee and ankle injury. Luckily for them though, their best player is finally back in the line-up and they got back to winning ways instantly with a 112-104 OT win over the Clippers. Doncic had 26, 9 boards and 9 assists, while Kristaps Porzingis continued his stellar play in November with yet another 30 point performance. Consistency will be the key for the Mavs moving forward, they’ve beaten the Wizards in 5 straight at home, so I’m interested to see if they can keep that up.
The oddsmakers have made Dallas a 7.5 Point favorite tonight, they’ve covered the spread just once in their last 6 games against Eastern Conference opponents. However, they are playing a team in Washington that’s just 3-7 ATS in their 10 road games this season and with a healthy Luka Doncic back, I think the Mavs dominate this one. Give me Dallas to cover.

Although both teams like to play at a slower paced tempo this season, the Wizards defense hasn’t been confidence inspiring lately, giving up 127 points against the New Orleans Pelicans just two games ago. I think we can all agree the Mavericks have far better players than the Pelicans and guarding them will be a much tougher challenge. Dallas leads the NBA with the lowest TOV% this season, so they take good care of the ball and make sure they don’t waste many possessions. I think they’ll score enough in this one to push us over the total.
