Resting Luka Doncic proved to be the right move for Jason Kidd as the Mavericks were able to win their 4th game in a row, at home over the Sacramento Kings 114-113. Doncic was officially ruled out because of a toe injury, but he isn’t expected to miss any more games.
With a pair of fresh legs he should be ready to go tonight against a Jazz team that has beaten Dallas already twice this season. Doncic will have something to say about in tonight’s game though, he’s averaging 35.8 points per game over his last 9 outings while shooting 47% from the field and 41% from three.
His team is 6-1 SU/ATS over their last 7 games and against Western Conference opponents they’ve covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 games as well. Utah has had their number though in recent meetings winning 7 of the last 10 head-to-head.

After struggling a bit in February, it appears that the Utah Jazz are back on track now with 10 wins in their last 12 games. They bounced back well following a 34-point road loss at New Orleans with a 13-point triumph against the Oklahoma City Thunder last night.
Croatian sharpshooter Bojan Bogdanovic scored 35 points in the win, including 11 threes and became the 1st player in NBA history to hit that many threes without making a 2-point shot. Donovan Mitchell also chipped in with 24 and 10 assists, Utah is now 1.5 games ahead of Dallas in the race for the 4th seed, so tonight’s game is a big one for both teams.
The Jazz have enjoyed much more success in head-to-head meetings winning 10 of the last 12, but bettors will be on their heels for this one as they are only 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games.
Dallas is one of the better home teams in the NBA this season, but so are the Jazz on the road with a 18-13 record. They are however just 1-5 SU in 6 games as underdogs and against a fresh Luka Doncic I’m not sure if they’ll have enough here. Let’s go with the home team here.
