Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves betting tips and predictions for Monday’s NBA game at American Airlines Center. Kyrie Irving makes his home debut for the Mavericks as they play the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 3rd and final time this regular season. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Dallas Mavericks

Dallas MavericksIt’s been a solid experience for the Mavs since acquiring Kyrie Irving. The move has shown a lot of promise, they are 2-1 SU in 3 game played so far, coming off an unlucky OT loss at Sacramento. Doncic and Irving shared the court for the first time in that game as teammates, they combined for 55 points and 12 assists on the night while shooting better than 50%.

It’ll be interesting to see how it all works out moving forward, tonight against the Timberwolves they are 7.5 point favorites. The two teams split the 2 games played so far this season, Minnesota won the first one by 10 at home, after which Dallas beat them by 5 the next game in the same building. The injury situation isn’t ideal for the Mavs, they continue to be without Davis Bertans and Maxi Kleber, while Tim Hardaway Jr. is bothered by a hamstring injury.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota TimberwolvesOne of the reasons why the Mavs are such big favorites here is the fact that the Timberwolves have just 5 wins in the last 10 meetings. They’ve also lost 5 straight games played in Dallas, and there’s a high chance they’ll be without Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson in this one. Trading away D’Angelo Russell was an interesting move, in exchange they got a veteran point guard in Mike Conley.

Part of the reason why the Wolves got him was his tenure with Rudy Gobert in Utah, those two played really well with each other and Minnesota is hoping they re-connect with their new team. They’ve been inconsistent over their last 5 games exchanging wins and losses, Memphis beat them 128-107 on Friday night.

I’m expecting the crowd in Dallas to be buzzing as their newly acquired superstar plays in front of the home fans for the first time. No Gobert opens up the paint for Kyrie to do damage, I think Dallas wins this one with ease. Mavs to cover.

Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves Predictions & Odds

Scoring has come easy for Dallas over their last 4 games – they’re averaging 121 points during that stretch while shooting 50% from the field and almost 42% from downtown. The total has gone over in 4 of their last 5 which is really refreshing to see for one of the slower paced teams in the NBA. They are also 16-12 on the O/U in home games this season, which is good news since they’re playing a Minnesota side that’s cashed on the over in 5 straight games themselves.

Backing the over in Timberwolves road games has also been profitable lately, they are 9-3 in favor of that bet over their last 12 games. The last 10 meetings have averaged 223 points per game, and with the two teams scoring 38 threes each over their last 2 games I think we’re in for a fun and high scoring game here. Back the points.
