Whoever wins tonight’s game will have the tie-breaker in case the two teams finish with identical records at the end of the season, so it’s a massive game for both Dallas comes into it in hopes of getting Luka Doncic back, he has been out for a while now with a thigh injury.
They’ve been able to weather the storm with 2 wins in their last 3 games, their last game at Memphis was a disappointing one as they let a double-digit lead slip away in the 4th quarter. With no Luka they depend solely on Kyrie Irving to carry the offense, that’s not going to be enough on most nights in the NBA. The good news is tonight’s game is at home where they’ve beaten the Warriors 5 times in the last 6 meetings.
Golden State Warriors
We finally saw Golden State end their 11-game losing streak on the road with a convincing win over the Houston Rockets. They were also able to cover the spread which means their record is now 1-11 ATS in their last 12 away from home, and overall against the Mavs they’re just 7-13 ATS in their last 20 games. Still, that hasn’t stopped the oddsmakers to have them as the favorites here, despite all those horrible stats.
Just like Dallas, they too are hoping to get Draymond Green back as he recovers from a wrist injury, the Warriors have been hit by the injury bug pretty hard and they’re just trying to make it to the postseason. Andrew Wiggins, Andre Iguodala and Andrew Wiggins all remain out, at just 10-27 ATS the Warriors are arguably the worst road team in the NBA this year.
I doubt all of the Warriors’ issues on the road went away with just that one win over Houston. The Rockets are near the bottom of the West, Dallas is just on a different level. Luka or no Luka, I still have the Mav covering here.

The Warriors defensive rating hasn’t been all that bad in road games, but for some reason team are just pilling up the points on them. They did hold the Rockets to just 108 in their last game, but prior to that 3 teams scored 133, 127 and 134 points against them. With a healthy Irving and Doncic, this Dallas team is more than capable of going into the 130s tonight, if we get a faster paced game. Golden State averages 104.3 possessions per game this year, ranking 1st in the NBA in pace.
They’re 12th in offensive efficiency, while the Mavericks are 6th which should make for a high scoring game here. The over has cashed 6 times in the last 8 Warriors games, including 5 of their last 6 vs Western Conference opponents. On the road they’re 26-10-1 in favor of the over, while the Mavs are 21-14-1 when plying at the American Airlines Center. This game has the over written all over itself, so let’s back the points.
