Facing the Brooklyn Nets in the play-in tournament won’t be ideal, but at least as things stand they currently have home-court advantage in that potential meeting. They are 2.5 games ahead of the Nets and with 7 games remaining they must continue winning and at least salvage something out of this situation.
This team has failed to cover the spread in 5 games in a row, at home they are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games and against the Mavericks in head-to-head meetings at home they’ve covered just 2 times in 9 games. They’ll have to do without their rookie sensation Evan Mobley as he has also been ruled out with an ankle injury here.

Dallas is coming off an important home win over the LA Lakers last night as they beat them 128-110 in a game that was pretty much over by halftime. Luka Doncic had another spectacular performance with 34 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists in just 30 minutes of play, while 3 other starters scored in double figures led by Reggie Bullock who had 17 points. As a team, the Mavs were also very efficient from the floor connecting on 51.7% of their shots and also draining 20 threes in the process.
That loss to Cleveland earlier in this season was an odd one, they are 6-1 SU in the last 7 meetings against the Cavs and have covered in 4 of the last 5 meetings. With the injury to Mobley, they are looking really good ahead of tonight’s game.
I fancy Dallas here, they’ve been really solid lately and look to further improve their chances of finishing 4th in the Western Conference. They are 2 games ahead of the Jazz who are in 5th and just 1 game back of 3rd placed Golden State, so the 3rd seed isn’t out of the question either. Give me Luka and co. to win big on the road.
