The Bulls are on a 6-game losing streak in head-to-head meetings, so it could be an uphill battle tonight. With the firepower they have on their team now, I wouldn’t be shocked if Phoenix matched that number from the first game. Kevin Durant made an instant impact in his debut with the team scoring an efficient 23 points, showing no signs of rust after missing over a month of play with a knee injury. As crazy as it might sound, defense will determine if the Phoenix Suns win a championship this season or not. Offensively they looked like a well oiled machine in only 1 game played with Durant and I expect that to stay that way as KD is the easiest superstar to implement in an offensive system. Defensively the Suns looked good holding the Hornets to under 100 points.
Their last 5 of 7 games overall have all cashed on the under, while on the road they are 6-1 in favor of the under in their last 7 played. Chicago also does a nice job at limiting the pace of games, their last 9 of 11 games have all gone under, including 5 in a row at home. With Chicago ranking just 18th and the Suns 23rd in pace of play, and 6 of their last 10 meetings all cashing on the under I think backing that is the best way to approach tonight’s match-up.
