Chicago Bulls

Chicago BullsIt’s been a bit of a rough stretch for the Chicago Bulls after the all-star break as they’ve lost 3 in a row and have just 1 win over their last 4 games. They are now tied with the 76ers for the 2nd best record in the Eastern Conference.

DeMar DeRozan has cooled off with 2 games of 18 and 21 points which is very modest for him considering he just had averaged 34.2 points per game in the month of February. He did have 35 points against the Bucks in the game played earlier this season, so that’s one sign of optimism for Bulls fans ahead of tonight’s game.

Alex Caruso, Lonzo Ball, and Patrick Williams all remain out for the Bulls, against a Bucks team that they’ve beaten just once in the last 10 meetings, everyone will have to be on their A-game if they want to win.

Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee BucksThe defending champions are coming off an impressive win over the Miami Heat 120-119. What was so impressive in that game is that the Bucks outscored Miami by 15 points over the last 6 minutes of play to get the win. The big 3 finally played like we’re expecting them to with Giannis Antetokounmpo scoring 28 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.

Khris Middleton added 26 points while Jrue Holiday scored 25 points and dished out 11 assists. With a 16-13 SU record on the road this season, this team has every right to hope for a win in tonight’s match-up.

They’ve gone 16-4 SU in their last 20 games against teams from their own division and against the Bulls they are 13-1 SU over the last 14 head-to-head. It is unknown if point guard George Hill will return, he has now missed over a month with a neck injury and he’s listed as questionable.

Chicago has had a good season so far, but they seem to struggle against the bigger teams. Milwaukee is on the rise, I expect their form only to go up as we approach the postseason. Give me the road team here.

Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks Predictions & Odds

We saw only 184 points scored in the 1st meeting of the season played in Milwaukee. Tonight’s projected total has been set at a whopping 238 points, which sounds a bit too much if we look at some numbers from previous meetings.

The last 10 head-to-head have gone under the total 7 times and the teams have averaged 216.5 points per game during that stretch. Scoring has gone down even more if we look at just the 3 most recent meetings as the 2 teams have averaged 206.6 points per game.

Both teams are near the middle of the pack when it comes to pace of play as Milwaukee averages 101 possessions per game and the Bulls being at 100.7 per game. Chicago has gone under in 5 of their last 7 games and with DeRozan cooling off a bit I think they could struggle with scoring here.

Just a couple of games ago they put up only 99 points against the Miami Heat on the road, Milwaukee’s defense is close to being on that level I’d say. All in all, I think we’ll see a higher scoring game than the 1st meeting of the season, but I wouldn’t expect both teams to go crazy here. Go with the under.
