Detroit celebrated an unlikely home win over the Utah Jazz last night 126-116, behind a career-high night from Cade Cunningham who finished with 29 points and 8 assists. It was an impressive offensive showing from a team that normally struggles scoring the basketball. The Pistons finished the game shooting 51.6% from the field and made 19 of 37 shots from three-point land as well. They made the most out of the absence of Rudy Gobert, but tonight they are facing a totally different animal in Chicago. On the road they’ve won just 1 of 13 games and against the Bulls they’ve dropped 9 in a row and have failed to cover in each of those 9 games.
The Bulls enter tonight’s game as 13.5 point favorites, that’s a bit unrealistic if you ask me. Their last 4 wins have been by 8, 4, 1 and 2 points so it’s not like they are blowing out opponents on a regular basis. The Pistons have also won 2 in a row beating Orlando and Utah.
