This game is pretty much a winner takes all between the Bulls and Hawks as only 1 game separates the two teams in the standings for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. In case the two teams finish with an identical record, the tie-breaker will decide who gets it and the Bulls have the edge currently with a 2-1 lead.
They’re coming into this one after winning consecutive games over the Hornets and Grizzlies by 30 and 21 points, which should give them a ton of optimism here. They’re also 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against the Hawks while beating them in 5 of the last 7 head-to-head. There is also good news on the injury front as well for the Bulls. Alex Caruso and Javonte Green are both expected to be ready for tonight’s game.
Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta’s the completely opposite when it comes to injuries as Trae Young and De’Andre Hunter are both in danger of missing this game. That would be a big blow for a team that’s struggling on the road. The Hawks have won just 2 of their last 10 games away from home, plus at Chicago they’re 1-5 ATS in their last 6 visits.
This team has flirted with the .500 mark for basically 3 months now, and with arguably the tougher schedule in the remaining 3 games they are in danger of slipping all the way down to 10th place in the standings. Dejounte Murray is expected to step up here, he’ll have to do a lot better than the 17.5 points per game he averaged in the 2 games played against Chicago earlier this season.
Atlanta’s only win vs Chicago this season was a 1-point triumph at home after OT, so I think backing the Bulls here is a must. They’re the more motivated team, and with Trae Young most likely not playing here Atlanta just doesn’t have enough to match the firepower of Chicago. Bulls to cover.

Only 1 of the 3 meetings between these teams was a high scoring game and that one was played in Atlanta where the Hawks increase the tempo significantly compare to their road games. At the United Center the two teams combined for just 211 points back in late January, they’ve split the last 10 meetings on the O/U going 5-5. Atlanta’s games have seen a significant decrease in points lately with 6 of the last 9 cashing on the under.
They are also 2-5 on the O/U in games against Central Division teams, I’m just not sure they have what it takes to make up for Young’s 25+ points and 10+ assists they would normally get. Chicago has also had a long run of unders vs Eastern Conference opponents with 16 of their last 20 such games cashing on that bet. Combined with their last 5 games vs Southeast Division teams finishing under, I think that is the best way to approach tonight’s game.
