Chicago Bulls

Chicago BullsThe Bulls have been a big disappointment over the last 10 games winning just 2 of them and falling all the way down to 5th in the standings. They are slowly getting their injured players back, Alex Caruso is healthy, Patrick Williams is probable for tonight after recovering from a thumb issue and Lonzo Ball is nearing his return from a knee problem.

This team is on a 3-game losing streak following their 27-point loss at Phoenix and the biggest gripe I have with them is their 0-15 SU record vs top 3 seeds from both conferences. So basically this team is beating on the lesser teams, while whenever they face a top tier team they aren’t able to win.

DeMar DeRozan was in the MVP conversation not too long ago, but that dream seems to be over now. The Bulls do have a 2-1 edge over Toronto this season, so their fans are hopeful ahead of tonight’s game.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto RaptorsThe Raptors celebrated a big win at Philadelphia last night 93-88 as they held the 76ers to one of their lowest point totals of the season. Joel Embiid scored only 21 points on 6-for-20 shooting and that’s another thing the Raptors defence will be proud of.

It was their 5th win in 6 games, they did it without their only all-star Fred VanVleet who was ruled out with a knee injury, his status for tonight’s game is unclear at the time of writing this preview.

The Raptors are one of the most reliable teams when it comes to covering the spread lately, they’ve done so in 6 of their last 7 games and on the road they are a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games. They’ve struggled a bit against Chicago though winning just once in the last 6 head-to-head.

The Bulls have the rest advantage here as Toronto just played last night. The last meeting at the United Center was won by Chicago 111-105, I think we could be in line for a similar outcome here, so let’s back the home team to cover.

Chicago Bulls vs Toronto Raptors Predictions & Odds

This season in 3 meetings the Raptors and Bulls are averaging 227.3 points per game which would put us over the projected total of 225.5 points here. I’m not sure if we’ll see that many points tonight though.

Chicago has struggled a bit scoring, in their last 4 games they’ve put up 102, 110, 103 and 101 points and against a Toronto squad that held Philadelphia to just 88 points last night it could be a challenge to score once again.

Chicago’s last 6 of 7 games overall have produced an under and their last 6 of 7 games at home have done so as well. For Toronto the Under has cashed in 8 of their last 11 games and in their last 5 in a row vs Eastern Conference teams. This team plays at a very slow pace averaging just 98.8 possessions per game which ranks them in the bottom 5 of the entire NBA.

Chicago is a bit faster at 100.8 per game and in 13th place, but I think if we take all the stats into account that backing the under is the way to go here.
