The Nets will also be happy to see James Harden’s numbers improving, he’s coming off a 28-point effort in the win over Toronto on Sunday. One thing that should calm the Nets fans prior to tonight’s game is their recent record against the Bulls – they’ve beaten them in 8 of the last 10 meetings and have covered the spread 9 times in the last 13 head-to-head.

A new era in Chicago is underway and the Bulls are off to their best start in years at 6-3. However, they are coming off back-to-back losses against the Philadelphia 76ers and have won just 2 of their last 5 games. Nevertheless, I think every single Bulls fan out there would accept the 5th seed if you offered it to them before the season had started. The duo of Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan is averaging over 52 points combined, if they can sort out their three-point defending they’ll be a force to be reckoned with. Chicago is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games when they’re the favorites, tonight the bookmakers favor them by 1.5 points.
Having played only two games in the last 7 days and Brooklyn playing their 2nd game in two nights, the rest advantage is on Chicago’s side here. Brooklyn is on a 5-game win streak, but if we look at the teams they faced nobody really sticks out as a contender. Tonight’s game could be a fun one as both teams have been putting the ball into the basket at a high rate recently. During their win streak the Nets are averaging 110.2 points per game and are among the elite teams on that end with superstar players like Durant and Harden. Chicago is no slouch either with the likes of LaVine and DeRozan, both of them are playing sensationally and the Bulls as a team rank 9th in the entire NBA in offensive efficiency.
