Brooklyn Nets Form

Brooklyn has also been on a tear lately winning 8 of their last 9 games. They’ve won their last three against Orlando, New Orleans and Oklahoma City all on the road. Kevin Durant is having a spectacular year with 29.6 points per game on 58% shooting from the field. His superstar teammate James Harden is also coming to life lately, against the Thunder he finished with 16 points and 15 assists. The play of LaMarcus Aldridge also deserves praise, he is their 3rd leading scorer, Patty Mils and Joe Harris are both shooting over 45% from three-point land. This team simply has no weakness on the offensive end and I’m curious to see how they perform against the best of the best tonight.

Golden State Warriors Form

The Warriors suffered an unexpected loss on Sunday as they fell 106-102 against the Charlotte Hornets ending a 7-game win streak. Stephen Curry didn’t have the best of games as he finished with just 24 points on 7-for-22 shooting. Andrew Wiggins had one of his best games of the season with 28, but it wasn’t enough as Golden State suffered only their 2nd loss of the season. The bench play was a major letdown for the Warriors as they produced only 20 points, far too low for them to win on the road. Tonight, they face a team that they’ve beaten 8 times in the last 11 meetings, but have covered the spread against them only once in the last 8 games played.

Golden State Warriors vs Brooklyn Nets Prediction

The Nets defense shouldn’t be underestimated here. As good as Golden State has been this season, they’ve not faced a team so talented on offense and so disciplined on the defensive end. Steph is probably going to have a bounce back game, but KD will cancel him out. So the difference could very well be James Harden in this one, as I don’t think the Warriors have anyone on their roster that can stop him. Give me the Nets to cover at home.

Betting Tip: Golden State Warriors vs Brooklyn Nets

The Under has been the play here in the last 7 of 10 meetings between these two sides. Both teams are elite on the offensive end and are capable of scoring in bunches, but they do rely on defense to make a difference in most of their games. 5 of 6 home games for Brooklyn have gone under the total and for the Warriors their 3 of 4 road games have also gone under the total. Golden State allows the 3rd fewest points in the league right now averaging just 101.8 per game, while the Nets are 6th with 103.5 allowed per game, that number goes slightly down to 100.7 per game at home. This game could very well be a NBA Finals preview, so both teams will try their best to get the win here. I’m thinking it’ll be a slower paced game, as neither team wants this game getting out of hand scoring-wise. Let’s back the under.
