Brooklyn Nets vs Atlanta Hawks betting tips and predictions for Friday’s NBA game on at Barclays Center. The Nets and Hawks wrap up their regular season series as they clash for the 4th and final time tonight in Brooklyn. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn NetsWith 2 wins in their last 3 games the Nets have eased the pressure a bit following a poor run of 5 losses in a row prior to that. They now have a 1.5 game edge over the Miami Heat in the 6th seed, so if the season ended today they’d face the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1st round which isn’t the match-up you’d want if you’re the Nets.

I’m not exactly sure where the Nets go from here if I’m being honest. They just shut down Ben Simmons for the season as he has a nerve impingement in his back. Making the playoffs would be nice, but I think long term it would be better if they were in the draft lottery as they’re clearly trying to re-build. They’ve gone just 2-6 ATS/SU in their last 8 games and just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.

Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta HawksAtlanta’s record in head-to-head meetings isn’t great, they’ve won just 4 of 18 meetings overall and just 1 of the last 8 played in Brooklyn. However, most of those games were played when the Nets had Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden which made them a force. Today’s team is way different than that, so the Hawks have every right to hope for a better result here.

This team hasn’t been good on the road winning just twice in their last 9 outings, they could also be without De’Andre Hunter here as he battles a knee injury. They’ve exchanged wins and losses in their last 5 games, but I think that streak ends tonight as they have a pretty solid chance of winning their 2nd game in a row following the 120-118 win over Cleveland at home.

The Nets aren’t even close to being confidence inspiring right now, they do have talent at every position, but they’re not close to being a coherent unit in my opinion. Atlanta won the last meeting played about a month ago, I think we’re in for a similar ending here. Take the road team.

Brooklyn Nets vs Atlanta Hawks Predictions & Odds

A ton of points are expected here as the oddsmakers have set the projected total to a whopping 241 points. That’s understandable considering the previous meeting saw 256 points, but with this team being played in Brooklyn I think we’re in for a bit more defense this time around. None of the last 5 Nets games have come close to the 241 points we have here, the Hawks have cleared that number only twice in their last 5 games.

The under has cashed in 5 of Atlanta’s last 7 overall and in 5 of 6 Nets games played on a Friday. Scoring has been down over the 3 most recent meetings between the two teams, with just 235.6 points per game scored during that stretch. With Brooklyn ranking only 21st in pace I feel like they’ll try to slow things down as that would give them the best chance of getting a result here. I’ll take my chances with the under in this one.
