Terrence Ross also stepped in off the bench with a solid performance, 3 of Orlando’s 4 wins this season have come on the road. Despite losing 4 of their last 5 against the Nets in head-to-head meetings, Orlando has done well when it comes to covering the spread. They are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 against Brooklyn, but it is worth noting that the Nets won the only meetings so far this season 123-90.

Brooklyn is back on track following their 18-point home loss against the Golden State Warriors. Just a night after the loss they were able to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-99. They had 4 players score 20+ points in James Harden, Kevin Durant, Patty Mills and LaMarcus Aldridge. Nets fans will be happy with that performance as they held the shorthanded Cavaliers to just 39% shooting from the field and 25% from downtown. Against the Magic tonight they will once again be a bit shorthanded with Joe Harris, Nick Claxton and Paul Millsap all sitting out due to various injuries. However, that shouldn’t be an issue as they are playing at home tonight where they’ve won 4 of their last 5 games.
After beating the Magic by 33 points on the road a week ago, there’s simply no excuse for the Nets not to cover the spread at home tonight. The oddsmakers favor them by 12.5 points here and although that might sound a lot, they’ve had two days to fully heal and rest before tonight’s game.
