It was a huge night for the Bulls as they came out on top 119-115 against the Knicks for their 2nd straight win and 3rd in 4 games. DeMar DeRozan led the way with 34 points, but he also got a ton of help from Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine who both had 27 in the win. Chicago built a 18 point lead after the first 12 minutes of the game, the Knicks mounted a comeback, but luckily they were able to hold on for their 8th road win in 12 games this season. Now they face a Brooklyn team against who they have just 3 wins in the last 10 meetings, but Bulls fans will be encouraged with their recent road form ahead of tonight’s game. Chicago has covered 5 times in their last 7 games on the road and is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs Eastern Conference opponents.
Brooklyn Nets
Brooklyn played last night and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-105 at home, but they failed to cover the spread as they were 7.5 point favorites. Still, they’ll take the win which keeps them top of the standings in the Eastern Conference with a 16-6 record. They’ve won 8 of 12 at home and against the Wolves they were led by Kevin Durant who had 30, while James Harden added 20 and 9 assists. Brooklyn has it’s issues when it comes to covering the spread, mainly because the oddsmakers often put unrealistic spreads on them. They’ve gone 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games and have failed to cover in each of their last 6 at home. Against the Bulls though they are 7-1 SU in the last 8 meetings at Barclays Center.
Chicago could be shorthanded in this one with Alex Caruso having a hamstring injury. However, their big 3 is playing at a high level at the moment and I think they have enough talent to compete with Brooklyn in this one. Let’s back the Bulls to continue their solid streak on the road.
