It’s been quite the start to the month of November for the Boston Celtics who have now improved to 10-3 this season and occupy 2nd place in the Eastern Conference. Jayson Tatum has been a big reason for that, he is putting up MVP type numbers averaging 32.3 points per game on 50% shooting from the floor.
In the latest win over Detroit he finished with 43 points, carrying the Celtics despite their struggles from the field in that win. Against the Thunder they are 8-2 SU in the last 10 meetings, however they are outscoring them by just 4.7 points during that stretch. Boston is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games vs OKC, so I’m a bit surprised they are 11-point favorites in tonight’s game.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder are coming into this one after playing last night at Madison Square Garden where they beat the Knicks 145-135. It was a historic night offensively for the Thunder who scored on 62.5% of their field goal attempts. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 37 on the night, he has been just brilliant all season long offensively. As a team the Thunder also shot almost 55% from three-point land and all 5 starters scored in double-figures.
I fancy their chances in Boston tonight, to at least cover the huge spread. They’ve done so in 5 of their last 6 games against Boston and with a 5-0 ATS record over their last 5 games vs Atlantic Division opponents, I think they aren’t without a chance in this one.
Boston might have the rest advantage, but the Thunder put up a historic 145 points on the Knicks last night and come into this game after posting red-hot shooting numbers. The Celtics should win this one, but I’m taking the Thunder and the double-digit spread here.

The total has gone over in 7 of 9 for OKC, tonight’s game in Boston will be a challenge defensively, but we’ve seen them put up big numbers against top rated defenses on several occasions this season.
Boston also has a habit of going over the total with 5 of their last 7 cashing on that bet. They are averaging 119.5 points per game this season, which is the highest offensive rating in the NBA by almost 4 points ahead of the 2nd placed Bucks. The last 3 meetings between these teams have all gone over, I can’t see much defense being played here, so let’s go with the over.
