The Celtics couldn’t be more optimistic even if they tried. They’ve won 7 games in a row and their star Jayson Tatum is ascending into an MVP candidate with his 31.9 points per game, lifting his team to the number one seed in the East. He had “only” 27 points in the win over Oklahoma City the other night, but a solid shooting night from the perimeter by the entire team lifted the Celtics to their 11th win on the season.
This team leads the NBA in most offensive categories, so the absence of Robert Williams hasn’t been felt as much as some people thought it would. They are favorites in tonight’s game because of one simple reason and that’s their head-to-head record vs Atlanta which reads 13 wins in the last 18 meetings. In addition to that they are 14-6 SU over their last 20 games on the road.
The Celtics look unstoppable right now. This kind of offensive onslaught hasn’t been seen in years and until someone takes them down I am going to keep on backing them. Take the road team to cover.
