Orlando Magic vs Atlanta Hawks betting tips and predictions for Wednesday’s game on NBA TV. After finally ending a 7-game losing streak at Brooklyn, the Orlando Magic continue their road trip with a visit to Atlanta as they take on the Hawks. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Orlando Magic

Orlando MagicRobin Lopez scored 20 points for the Magic as they took advantage of the covid outbreak within the Brooklyn Nets for a 100-93 win over the weekend. It was only the 6th win of the season for the Magic, but it stopped a 7-game losing streak. Still, the Magic have lost 14 of their last 16 games and fans aren’t really expecting much heading into tonight’s game. This team will most likely not be at full strength tonight as they have 5 players in health and safety protocols and at least 5 more struggling with various other injuries. Orlando is just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 overall and have won only once in 11 games on the road. In their last 5 visits to Atlanta they’ve covered just once.

Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta HawksThe Hawks are also dealing with a covid outbreak on their team with at least 3 players in health and safety protocols. Joining them on the sidelines will be at least 3 more with other injuries, so it will be a shorthanded squad on both teams by the looks of it. The most notable absentee for Atlanta will be Trae Young who has been on a roll lately, however the team will have to learn how to deal with his absence. In their last 7 home games they are 0-7 ATS and tonight they enter the game as 8.5 point favorites, despite all the players they are missing. In the last 10 meetings they did beat Orlando 7 times, so that is definitely an encouraging stat entering tonight’s game.

I’d advise waiting for the injury report to be published for both teams before placing any bets here. I wouldn’t even be surprised if this game was postponed due to the current situation with covid-19, but assuming this game does go ahead I’m picking the Magic to cover here. There’s just way too many players missing from both sides, but Orlando will have Cole Anthony, while Trae Young will be out for Atlanta. Magic to cover.

Orlando +8.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

These 2 teams have gone 5-5 on the O/U in their last 10 games, while in their 3 most recent games the under has cashed twice. In the game played at Orlando a week ago between them, we saw only 210 points scored which would put us under the total if that was the score tonight. The Magic have struggled with scoring all season long, in their last 3 they’ve put up just 101.3 points per game which is the 2nd lowest mark in the entire NBA. Atlanta has put up decent numbers in their last couple of games, but with this covid outbreak on their team I’m not willing to trust them too much here on offense. Normally when your top 2 scorers are out you’d expect a decline in numbers, that will be the case in tonight’s game. So let’s back the under in this one.
