Chicago Bulls – Toronto Raptors Predictions & Odds

Toronto Raptors vs Chicago Bulls betting tips and predictions for Wednesday’s game in the NBA. Two teams coming off wins will clash in Chicago as the Bulls welcome the Toronto Raptors to town. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto RaptorsBeating the Golden State Warriors is no small feat, the Raptors were able to do just that at home by 19 points over the weekend. Fred VanVleet had 27 points and 12 assists, including 6 threes made, while Scottie Barnes added 21 of his own. However, it is worth noting that the Warriors were without Curry, Green and Wiggins in that game, however Raptors fans won’t care too much as they need every win they can get right now. This team is only 11th in the Eastern Conference, just outside the play-in tournament spots. A total of 6 players are out in the health and safety protocols, including VanVleet and Siakam, so the Raptors are heavily shorthanded for this one.

Chicago Bulls

Chicago BullsChicago isn’t immune to covid-19 either as 6 players of their own are also out, including Zach LaVine. They still have DeMar DeRozan who is playing some of his best basketball in recent years. In his last 2 games he had 38 points against the Lakers and 26 points against the Houston Rockets, leading the Bulls to 2 straight wins. They are now just a game-and-a-half behind the Brooklyn Nets for the best seed in the East, something that not a lot of people were expecting before the season started. When it comes to covering the spread, the Bulls have been relatively good in that department as well. In their last 5 vs Atlantic Division opponents they’ve gone 4-1 ATS and playing at the United Center they are 9-5 ATS in 14 games this season.

DeRozan is always extra motivated when playing his former team. With 2 of their top scorers being out here, I don’t see much of a chance for the Raptors to do anything significant. The Bulls have covered 7 times in the last 10 meetings and I expect more of the same tonight. Let’s back Chicago to cover.

Bulls -9 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

I’m not really sure what the expect from Toronto here with so many absentees. This team ranks 27th in pace of play so far in the month of December, they do get OG Anunoby back here, but he will need some time to adjust after a long layoff. The Bulls also have issues with players missing games, but in their last 2 they’ve put up 133 and 115 against the Rockets and Lakers. Right now they are tied for 7th best in the NBA when it comes to true shooting percentage, plus they are also 6th in offensive efficiency. Both teams are ranked in the Top 15 when it comes to defensive efficiency and 6 of the last 10 meetings have all gone under the total. In those 10 games the two teams have averaged 211.7 points per game, I think they will have a hard time reaching those numbers tonight with so many players being out. The smart bet here will be to back the under.
