Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat betting tips and predictions for Friday’s NBA game at TD Garden. It’s a rematch between the Celtics and Heat just 2 days after Boston beat Miami 134-121 on their home court. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
Boston Celtics
It’s shaping out to be a historic season for the Boston Celtics who continued their home dominance with a 13-point win over Miami. Jayson Tatum exploded for 49 points, he’s putting up MVP type numbers and with his team losing just 4 of their first 22 games I’d argue he is the frontrunner for the award.
Miami not having Jimmy Butler in that game certainly helped, nobody on the Heat roster is equipped to handle Tatum. Jaylen Brown also played and chipped in 26 points despite being questionable to even play. Boston’s home numbers are outrageously good, they’ve won their last 10 games and are averaging an NBA high 126.7 points per game on the best efficiency in the league. Against Miami they have 5 wins in the last 6 meetings and have also covered the spread 5 times during that stretch of games.
Miami Heat
Miami’s injury woes continued as Jimmy Butler, Victor Oladipo, Dewayne Dedmond, Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and Omer Yursteven could all miss tonight’s game. This team just can’t seem to catch a break, and as a result they are just 10th in the Eastern Conference, battling for a play-in tournament spot.
Bam Adebayo is trying his best on both ends, he’s averaging 20.7 points per game on 53% shooting. The Heat played a solid game offensively on Wednesday, but they couldn’t do much against the offensive onslaught of the Celtics. Whether or not they can make adjustments remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure – if Jimmy Butler isn’t able to go I am not rating their chances high in this game.
It’s hard to not back the Celtics at this moment. They are hitting on all cylinders and until someone comes into their building and beats them I will not shy away from backing them. Go with the home team to cover.
Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat Predictions & Odds
Boston’s is averaging 130.2 points per game over their last 5 home games, the 134 points they scored vs Miami on Monday isn’t even their high mark for that stretch of games. They collected a total of 32 assists in the win 2 days ago, it’s really hard to beat a team with such precise ball movement.
Miami also played a solid offensive game shooting 52% as a team, we are used to seeing them play well on that end vs Boston – 7 of the last 9 meetings at TD Garden have finished over the total as a result. If you’ve been backing Boston’s home games to go over the total, you have made a ton of money as the Celtics are 10-2 on the O/U at home this season. They have the best offensive numbers by far in the NBA, I can’t see this injured Miami team slowing them down. Let’s back the points once again here.
